Signalling Factory

 

Our Core Facility is equipped with a cell culture laboratory of Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) that allows use for growth of the majority of cell lines, including work with replication incompetent viral vectors for gene delivery. We have the capacity to set up cultures under different CO2 levels, as adherent cultures or in suspension.

The Signalling Factory Cell Line Service offers an array of customized cell-based services to support your work:

 

Cell Banking

We can propagate and cryopreserve your cell line. Our service includes the following:

• Cells will be tested for mycoplasma.
• Cells will be authenticated by STR analysis or COI gene.
• Long-term storage below -150°C
• Collection of relevant data in a database.
• Distribution of cell lines on request (Cell Line Repository)

Simplify the exchange and search for desired cell lines by depositing your cells in the central Signalling Factory Unit.

 

Stable Cell Line Generation

Creating stable cell lines is time-consuming and complex. Signalling Factory Cell Line Service offers custom-designed stable cell lines using an appropriate method. We will work together with you to design your stable cell line. We are able to use our fluorescent proteins for monitoring expression, and provide different drug-resistant genes to establish a stable cell lines.

• Overexpression of gene of interest.
• Knockout of gene of interest (CRISPR-Cas9 Technology)
• Subcloning into expression vector
• With our cloning expertise we can clone your gene of interest in a mammalian expression plasmid or lentiviral vector.
• Stable expression in target cells
• Transfection of target cells.
• Lentivirus packaging and production
• Transduction of target cells.
• Selection of positive clones via cell sorting and/or antibiotic selection.
• Expansion of cell clones, mycoplasma check and cryopreservation.

We will provide the stable cell clone cryopreserved or as vital cells

Cell Sorting Service

The Signalling Factory is equipped with an S3 cell sorter from BioRad.

The S3 Cell Sorter is equipped with two lasers (488nm, 561 nm) and four fluorescent detectors, plus forward and side scatters. The sorter includes a complete internalized fluidics and temperature control system. Two-way sorting (single, purity, enrich) with collection of up to 5 x 5 ml or 1.5 ml sample tube each direction.

Note: Reserve times on the instruments as early as possible.
